Jobsearch cartoon ; Virtual Jobseeker cartoon ; Jobwatch cartoon

 Notes : Story behind the workman's boot - a classmate of mine had asked the secretary of Job Club for a pair of steel capped workman's boots for his bin man induction day and ended up being given soft plastic shoes instead. My experience of Job Club was one of overcrowding, of computer wires dangling from a hole in the corner of the room and of not enough seats for bums.

Entitled 'Death of the Euro and living off the meat off me bones...' cartoon. For now, the black holes of debt in the eurozone are being patched up so this cartoon is more a satire on the media's portrayal of the euro crisis.

Eurozone crisis cartoon ; Euro meltdown ; A pile of defaults ; Webs of debt

Posted on the day of the Greek elections. The candle has almost melted away, its last embers blowing the sign of the euro in smoke rings and the cobwebs at the corners of the desk represent the entangled webs of debt in the eurozone. The cyber mermaid is sitting amongst piles of default letters. The grinning cheshire cat, bloated and inflated like a floating balloon, represents fat cat executive bonus pay- recently in the news as well as fat cat tax evasion. In the book, 'Alice in Wonderland', the cheshire cat disappears at will, which begs the question, where HAS all the money gone ?
